A home funeral – It is rare these days but some people choose to conduct a funeral at home. Before you can have a home funeral, certain filings and registrations are required so please do your research . On this page, we will talk about the flowers.
This client had us come to their house to decorate it with flowers for their mother’s home funeral. She loved flowers and her vases brought her memories to them; therefore, we designed several pieces in her vases and decorated 5 areas, such as the entrance, viewing room, kitchen, outdoor area, and buffet, with a specific color scheme for each.
We had the measurements of the casket at our first meeting and used them to design the casket cover to fit exactly on top. Two of the tall vases they provided had very narrow openings, and appeared to be decorative. After trying a few things, we decided to design them in a separate design dish and placed one on top of each vase. Other than that, there was no issues with designing. The delivery went smoothly with help from the catering company.
There were 25 pieces in total and we were able to take some photos of them at their beautiful home. It made sense that they choose to have the farewell with their mother at home.
We also set up a web page specifically for them in order for their friends to donate toward their flower cost, or order flowers from us for the home funeral.
